ILLUSIVE
6 A.M.-- four shots of tequila and nothing but the sounds of my cat's purring and the gnawing in my heart for something I still can not comprehend, an illusive pain that comes and goes like the moment between darkness and sunrise that bleeds away into the light.
WITHOUT YOU
It's over. We've moved on. Years have passed, new love was found, nurtured and shared... But sometimes late at night, I can still feel the crack in my heart and the longing that once almost ate me alive and has never gone away-- This fracture that oozes broken dreams rapidly with no mercy, like blood from a fresh gaping wound. It bleeds all night until the morning light.
To face the demands of the day, I somehow manage to tuck you away and wonder how I will get through the next night without you.
